Feast of St. Francis

In typical modernist style, Francis-Bergoglio chose to play it low-key today in Assisi.  As he did with his speech to the gynecologists the day after the Civilta Cattolica interview came out, he sounded Catholic today when he defended priestly celibacy and consecrated virginity.

The good news is, since Francis' interviews, we're starting to see some cracks in the Catholic neocons' defenses.  These are the folks who vote Republican because Life Site News says "it is the pro-life party".   Apparently, Life Site has finally seen the light.  It actually reported on the REAL former president George H. W. Bush and his wife Barbara Bush, revealing that they support gay marriage and in a most public way.  Life Site is even allowing some dissent to be voiced concerning Francis.  This is a huge turnaround.

But this hopeful circumstance should not be interpreted as an indication that we will soon be re-installing Christ as king.  We've got a long way to go, says Gary Potter in this piece for Catholicism.org.

Still, as Louie Verrecchio at Harvesting the Fruits contends, blessed are we.

Another interesting sign is that internet forums like Fisheaters are getting overwhelmed by Modernists.
