Host Theresa - who attends Mary Help of Christians (Melbourne) mission, that provides the Traditional (Tridentine) Latin Mass to faithful Catholics throughout Australia - returns this season with her ongoing guest, and good friend, Jacinta, to warn against the evils of mainstream schools and to encourage all Catholic parents to homeschool rather than hand over their precious children to these soul-snatching institutes.
Jacinta attended mainstream schools a generation ago (when they were nowhere near as bad as they are now), went on to become a qualified teacher working at mainstream schools, and has recently started homeschooling the eldest of her three children. Already, “the proof is in the pudding,” as demonstrated by her daughter being about three years ahead in reading capabilities, compared with her mainstream counterparts, after only about one year of casual home-preschooling, utilising typical homeschooling resources. At this point in time, Jacinta intends to exclusively homeschool all her children, given there is currently no other Catholic option for schooling in Australia.

So happy to hear Teresa and Jacinta in a new episode of The Catholic Home! The Catholic Home has been such a help and encouragement to me as a mother of 7 homeschooled children. I listen and re-listen to the shows, chock full of Catholic mothering wisdom!
Thank you.
Dear Faith,
Thank you for your very positive comments on the return of “The Catholic Home” Show to our network. Jacinta and I were delighted to hear that our shows are so appreciated by you. We hope the remainder of our Homeschooling miniseries fortifies your trust in the wisdom of opting to homeschool your seven children. And we wish you all the best in the remainder of your Catholic homeschooling journey.
Sincerely,
Theresa
Hello Theresa,
I enjoyed listening to your Homeschooling Part 1 show. I agree with everything you both said.
Our three grandchildren, ages 4-7, are currently being home schooled. The other two are ages 2 and 3.
I actually attended a Catholic School in Chicago, Illinois from 1967 to 1973 ‘during the Vatican II transition’. I witnessed and overheard a lot from the nuns and other adults at the school. (The Flying Nun was a popular TV show in the states then.)
I received all my Catholic knowledge at that school which enabled me to question Vatican II starting my 9th grade year until ‘finding the Traditional Church with my husband in 2012’. It is a long story.
All the schools here in the states, except for the 4 you mentioned, are absolutely horrible and totally unacceptable for children to attend especially if they are traditional Catholics.
I look forward to your upcoming Catholic Home shows.
Thank you so much!
God Bless.
Your friend,

Dear Sue Ann,
So lovely to hear from you again. Thank you for sharing these interesting insights and for your encouraging words. That is wonderful that your grandchildren are being homeschooled; there are so many excellent resources available now, that great results are to be expected. Jacinta and I really appreciate your comments – and we hope you enjoy the rest of the series.
Sincerely,
Theresa
