A curious and interesting council that resolved, at least for a time, a split between the French Crown and the Papacy via the suppression of the Knights Templar. This was also the first Council convoked during the Babylonian Captivity of the Papacy, in Avignon. The Feast of Corpus Christi also dates from this Council.
