Many of us in the developed world have keenly felt the economic effects of lockdown on our communities, but in all likelihood those effects have been muted in comparison to what our Nigerian brethren have felt over the last eight weeks. They have not only been hurt financially, but their access to the Mass has been almost completely cut off, as Fr. Nkamuke's ability to travel has been constrained by the government. Fr. Nkamuke's various congregations throughout Nigeria are already some of the poorest in the Catholic world, so this worldwide panic has been a true hardship for them.
To remedy this we propose a 7-day fundraiser, to commence from today until Whitmonday, the Monday after Pentecost Sunday. All donations should be directed to the Bishop's Fund at St. Gertrude's. We want to support this fundraiser by offering incentives and gifts to all those who are donating.
- For any donation level, we are going to offer a free transcript of your choice from our library.
- Any contribution up to $25 will give you 30 days of free access to a Monthly Membership at Restoration Radio (if you are already a member, we will give you one free month)
- Any contribution between $50-$99 will give you two free books of our choice from our bookstore (if you live in the US) or two free transcripts (in addition to the previously mentioned free one) of your choice (if you live outside the US)
- Any contribution of more than $100 will give you 30 days of free access to an Annual Membership at Restoration Radio (if you are already an Annual Member, we will extend your renewal date for three months for free).
Once you have completed your contribution you will receive an email from SGG Resources. Forward that email to nigeria@truerestoration.org along with the request for your incentive. You may gift the incentive to someone other than yourself.
We know that it is a tough time for everyone, but we ask you to remember those who are not as fortunate as yourself, and share what little you may have in the spirit of the widow who shared her mite, and pleased Our Lord.
