For those dealing with the not-shocking news of the upcoming JPII "canonization," we'd like to remind you of two things:
1) Despite what Fr. Peter Scott and the SSPX claim, canonizations DO fall under "faith and morals" and the *indefectibility* of the Church, not the *infallibility* of the Papacy.
2) If you accept "Francis" as the gloriously reigning head of the Roman Catholic Church, and do not accept JPII as a saint, you're heading for a revealed contradiction (if it was not previously obvious).
A good place for those of good will to start taking an honest look at this question would be with Fr. Anthony Cekada's landmark 1995 article: Traditionalists, Infallibility, and the Pope.
To this day, that article has never been answered by any individual or group.
