Antidotes to an Adventless World

Perhaps the most overlooked of Liturgical seasons - Advent - is one of the longest this year, being nearly four weeks; so how can we best use this time to our greatest advantage? Whilst the prevailing pagan society, which embraces the superficial trimmings of Christmas devoid of the true meaning of this event (about a month early), conveniently ignores the period of penance and preparation for the coming of Christ, we Catholics must resist this influence. Such a special, though brief, time, we shouldn't let it just slip by in the hubbub of Christmas shopping, gift wrapping or simply ignoring it.

Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Novus Ordo Watch, this episode of the Catholic Home Show about Advent and Christmas Customs is free to all and would make a great start to Advent!
